Inspired by the life of activist Parveena Ahanger, HALF WIDOW is a story of loss and self-actualization amidst the tense backdrop of the Kashmir conflict between China, India, and Pakistan. When Neela’s husband disappears from their home in Srinagar, she goes in search of answers and a means to tell his story.  Danish Renzu’s feature highlights the devastation and upheaval experienced by women and children living in the world’s most militarized zone.
