Kick off this year's festival with an unforgettable evening in the heart of San Francisco's bustling mission district. Join luminaries Amyn Kaderali, Rebecca Hazelwood and Manish Goyal (Kissing Cousins), local filmmaker Saqib Mausoof (Kala Pul) and special guests at Bollyhood Café/Little Baobab and partake in free-flowing conversation and libations into the night.

Sponsors are invited to join 3rd I and the Bay Area film community to celebrate South Asian cinema at the historic Castro Theatre. Filmmakers Amyn Kaderali (Kissing Cousins), Mehreen Jabbar (Ramchand Pakistani), Nishtha Jain (Lakshmi and Me), and actress Rebecca Hazelwood (Kissing Cousins) will be attending.
Festival co-sponsor PinkMango will be unveiling new works from their collection of Mithila paintings at the reception. Proceeds from the exhibitions and sales of paintings go directly to the women artists.Most recently PinkMango has had shows at the Museum of Crafts and Folk Arts, San Francisco, DeSaisset Museum, Santa Clara University and the South Asian Department, UC Berkeley.
Food and drinks provided courtesy of Roti Indian Bistro, Whole Foods, and Lagunitas. Wine from Parducci cellars will also be served.
